Lanciano is the biggest town close to San Vito. It’s literally 15mins drive from the Hotel Garden.

The best time of the year to visit Lanciano is in early Sept.  The city’s official religious holiday is on Sept 16th and there are many events that lead to the big “feste lancianesi”.  The most interesting one is known as the “Palio del mastrogiurato”.   The Palio usually happens the first week of Sept.  I am looking into when it will be this year, but it’s definitely a great activity to add to the to do list!

The best way to travel Europe is to get a ticket with a cheap airline.

Ryanair is the airline that covers the most cities (including Pescara).  Check their website at http://www.ryanair.com

We want to remind you to update your passports now if you haven’t already. Here is a good starting point at the US Immigration website.

Most hotels will give you the option to have a full pension (all meals included).  The price is actually very appealing, but I would not go for it.

Seafood in my region is really good and there are some great restaurants.  You want to make sure you can hit some of the them.

In the past I reviewed “L’Angolo Da Filippo“.  There are other very good restaurants in the area…so make sure you get ready to eat a LOT!

We just locked a bloc of rooms in a couple of hotels in San Vito.  The great news is that they are right across the beach!

We were looking for flights and it seems that there is a new Northwest flight leaving from Seattle and going to London.

Searching for Seattle- Rome (FCO) at Kayak showed the flight at a good price (930$).  It’s actually a very good prince and if you’re looking for a flight you should definitely consider it.

Note that the new flight leaves at 10pm from Seattle…so you cannot fly the day before the wedding!
